Paducah Power System CEO Dave Carroll received the James D. Donovan Individual Achievement Award June 10 at the American Public Power Association’s National Conference in New Orleans. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the electric utility industry and to public power.
Carroll joined PPS in 1998 as Director of Finance, served as General Manager, and eventually rose to CEO in 2021. Under his leadership, PPS has maintained a 99.99% reliability rate and received numerous awards from APPA for safety, reliability and community service. Carroll has overseen several projects that have helped to reduce residential power bills by 16%.
APPA is the voice for not-for-profit, community owned utilities, like Paducah Power, representing some 2,000 communities before the federal government to protect the interests of the 49 million people public power serves.
