If you are a renter in Kentucky and struggling with rent and utilities due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we encourage you to seek assistance from The Healthy at Home Eviction Relief Fund. The $220 million fund has already helped some of our customers. The maximum rent assistance is 100% of back rent owed for up to 12 months + 3 months future rent. The maximum utility assistance is 100% of utility arears for up to 12 months + 3 months future utilities (including heat, electric, water, sewer and wastewater). Even if you have received other forms of utility assistance or have made a payment plan with us for unpaid bills, you may be eligible for help under this program. Apply online at teamkyhherf.ky.gov. The landlord and tenant must both apply.
Funding for the program comes through seed money from Paducah Power System and contributions from PPS customers who “round up” their bill payment each month to the next full dollar. To sign up to contribute each month to Operation Round-Up please call 270.575.4000 and ask for a Customer Service Representative. One hundred percent of the contributions go directly to assist individuals with their electric bills.
