Power System (PPS) is taking two important actions related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Our lobby will close to foot traffic at 4:30pm Monday, March 16. Our drive-thru will remain open during regular business hours.

“Fortunately, almost all business with us can be conducted by phone or through our website, so we expect no changes to the high level of customer service we normally provide,” said PPS General Manager Dave Carroll.  “In fact, challenges like these require us to work even harder to meet the needs of customers.”

Customers may make payments through the PPS mobile app, the webpage (Paducahpower.com), our kiosks, automatic bank draft, over the phone, our drive-thru, the postal service and drop boxes.  Those drop boxes are at the south side Kroger and in front of Cape Electric in Lone Oak. Kiosks are located at the southside Walmart, Banks Market in Lone Oak and the entrance to PPS at 1500 Broadway.  Payments may be made over the phone 24-hours a day by calling 270-575-4000.

Also, Paducah Power will suspend disconnects for residential and commercial customers immediately.

“This event has the potential to have an immediate and significant financial effect on many people, and we recognize the need to be flexible with those who will struggle during these unusual times,” said Carroll.

PPS urges customers who can pay their bill to continue paying to avoid difficulties when the suspension of cut-offs is eventually lifted.  We will continue to assess developments and respond in a way that allows us to be a good community partner, to protect our employees and make it easy for our customers to do business with us. A review of whether to extend the measures implemented today will take place March 30th.
